Apr 30-May 6 (Durham)

Hey Durham πŸ‘‹ I did something last weekend I haven't done since my daughter was born β€” I left my kids overnight. Twenty-four hours of uninterrupted conversation with my closest friends. On Sunday, I came home to a pile of laundry and have felt behind on work all week. Nevertheless, these getaways are a must. Sometimes you have to step away from the chaos just to remember how much you love it.

Mother's Day is next weekend, and Durham is making it easy to celebrate. Swing by the Wildlife Rehab Baby Shower in Clarington, check out the Mother's Day Vendor Market in Scugog, or treat yourself to a pancake brunch with Mommy Connections in Oshawa. You deserve it.

Have the best week. 🧑

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Β· Let's Dance! Β· May 24 at Roy Thomson Hall

From Swan Lake to Bruno Mars to Bernstein's "Mambo!" β€” the TSO's Let's Dance! is an hour of pure joy that takes kids on a musical journey across the world. Live dancers join the orchestra on stage, and the energy is infectious. This isn't sit-still-and-be-quiet classical music. It's the concert that makes kids ask when they can go again.

Arrive early to try instruments at the Discovery Zone, learn dance moves with Joy of Dance Centre, and catch lobby mini-performances before the show. Three show times mean you can pick what works for your family.
