After the first week of summer, I'm already feeling it.

I made a decision this year: no 8 weeks of camp. A few days here and there — like the half day bike camp I just signed them up for (keep scrolling for your $50 discount code!) — that's the balance I'm going for. But the tension between showing up for your kids and showing up professionally is very real.

We live in a strange season of life. Our children's early years land right in the middle of our peak professional ones. There's no clean answer. But I think the goal is just having the clarity (and gift) to choose.

This summer, I'm choosing connection. Eight weeks. I already made the call. Now I just have to live it.

The semi-finals are here! Watch parties are happening across the city all week — from Nathan Phillips Square to Evergreen Brick Works to your local library. Keep scrolling to find one near you.

Now Enrolling for Fall 2026

📍 18 Four Seasons Place, Suite 200, Etobicoke

A new school year, a new adventure — Fall enrollment is now open! 🍂 At Petite Luminaries Montessori in Etobicoke, children aged 18 months to 6 years thrive in a nurturing, hands-on environment built around curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

Our programs — Toddler, Casa, and Half-Day — are enriched with experiences you won't find everywhere. Children explore French through songs, stories, and everyday conversation. They discover nature through hands-on gardening. They express themselves through music and movement built right into every day.

With experienced educators, a low child-to-educator ratio, and extended care available from 7AM–6PM, Petite Luminaries is where little learners truly shine.
