May 28-June 3 (York)

Good morning York πŸ‘‹ Something strange is happening around our house. This year, three robins have nested nearby β€” and a friend of mine from Nepal told me that robins nesting outside your home is a sign of good luck, renewal, and positive life changes. Three of them? Amazing.

We got to watch one set of chicks double in size over the course of a week, their mom airdropping worms straight into their tiny mouths. The kids even dug up worms in the backyard and laid them in front of the nest to help out β€” though mama did not accept the food delivery.

Another set of bright blue eggs sits outside our window right now. A fluffy mama robin keeps watch every day, protecting them and keeping them warm.

But the third nest didn't make it. Strong winds on Saturday blew it right out of the tree, and sadly, three newly hatched chicks didn't survive.

So I'm taking this as a sign that good luck is on its way β€” but also a reminder of how fragile and precious life can be.

Ok, enough from the crazy bird lady. Here are your events for the week! 🧑

Wellness Wednesdays: Constipation, Eczema, Allergies, Poor Sleep. Coincidence or Connected?

Sponsored by our friends at The New Years

Many parents arrive with concerns that seem unrelated at first glance: constipation, eczema, allergies, congestion, poor sleep. Often, they've tried addressing each challenge individually β€” but still feel like they're missing the bigger picture.

At The New Years, their Naturopathic Doctors take a Functional Medicine approach to understand how the body's systems work together. Rather than viewing each symptom in isolation, they explore how digestion, nutrition, immune function, sleep, and lifestyle may be influencing your child's overall health.

By identifying patterns and underlying contributors, they help families develop a personalized plan that supports long-term wellness.

Because sometimes the most important question isn't "How do we manage this symptom?" It's "What is this symptom trying to tell us?"

And if you're looking for a community too, check out The Parent Pause β€” a free drop-in every Monday from 10–11:30AM.
