May 7-13 (York)

Hey York 👋 I'm coming out of my hardest season of motherhood yet. This time last year, I had a newborn and two kids under five. People would ask me "What's it like with three?" and I'd smile and say "Oh you know, more of the same — it's great!" Until it wasn't. Somewhere along the line my nervous system went into overdrive, and I've been slowly finding my way back. Finding my light again.

I have a hard time describing motherhood to friends who are about to become first-time moms. I want to warn them of the struggle, the joy, the loss, the peace. But I can't. Maybe I don't need to. It's the ultimate lived experience.

To every mom reading this: you are incredible. Keep going. To the world you are a mom, and to your kids you are the world.

Happy Mother's Day. 🧡

Wellness Wednesdays: Is My Baby Actually Eating Enough?

Sponsored by our friends at The New Years

Feeding your child should feel like one of the most natural things in the world — but for so many parents, it's one of the hardest. Whether you're struggling with latch in those first foggy weeks, navigating the chaos of starting solids, or dealing with a toddler who refuses everything on their plate, you're not alone — and you're not doing it wrong.

Feeding challenges look different at every stage — a painful latch or slow weight gain with a newborn, gagging on textures with a baby, or mealtimes that feel like a battle with a toddler. The good news? With the right support, things can get easier.

The New Years is a multidisciplinary clinic in Richmond Hill offering feeding therapy, lactation support, occupational therapy, naturopathic medicine, and more — all under one roof. And if you have extended health benefits, you likely have coverage for these services.

If you're looking for a community too, check out The Parent Pause — a free drop-in every Monday from 10–11:30AM.
